EP: Volta Bureau – Hot/The Greatest

It’s hard to believe that three years ago I hated house music. Thankfully, a lot of different elements contributed to my newfound love for all things house, including Baltimore’s infamously old-school Deep Sugar all-nighters, the consistently passionate performances from Karizma, and an overall deeper knowledge of music. All of these things (and then some) have allowed me to have a full appreciation for DC’s Volta Bureau. And thank the Dance Godz for that.  Consisting of Will Eastman, Outputmessage, and Micah Vellian, Volta Bureau has taken almost every DC speaker, dancefloor, and festival by storm within the past year, and rightfully so. Evident in their top-notch productions of pure musical optimism, Volta Bureau is truly music done right.  Their new two-track EP, Hot/The Greatest, has just the right vibes to keep you going all night.
